This is an ongoing series of clay work created by wrapping and pushing clay into the bark of trees. The outcomes of the textures and forms of these pieces are often by chance and dependent on the collaboration between non-human organisms (the trees) and myself. I’m often surprised by the intricacies and specifications created in each one of these works. This series has over 35 pieces, with 15 previously installed on the wall. Each piece is an individual size, ranging between 5 inches- 24 inches. Detail photos below.
